Polo by Ralph: Winter Wear. Lambswool Half-Zip (Erik Jacobsen)

Stay warm this winter season by buying a classic and stylish 2nd layer, a Lambswool Half-Zip pullover Polo by Ralph Lauren.

Better than fleece, because Lambswool is natural and to me anything that keeps an animal warm in the frigid winters of the U.K. or Scandinavia is a good piece of clothing to have on hand for cold days in the winter. This piece is a classic, and refined to meet the 21st century style of the modern man in cold climates. Lambswool is notably warm and has been used by people in the north to keep warm for centuries. And unlike the fashions that come out in the fleece industry that come and go with the season, this piece of clothing can endure the test of time and will be in style for years.

As the winter season comes upon us, this item can most probably be found in major department stores such as Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Lord and Taylor, Neiman Marcus, etc. But, if for some reason the store you go to doesn't have the 1 of 7 colors you can choose from polo.com has all 7 all the time. This particular product is available in Men's sizes Small-XXL for the price of $125 USD.

Polo by Ralph Lauren is a retailer with the utmost perspective in what is quality, style, and classic. Because of this Polo is a top consumer item and implies to others the wearer has the ability to afford things of a higher tier, things that stand out and stand the test of time.

I blogged about this item, because it has relevance to me. My ancestors came from Scandinavia, and it was common to own a Lambswool buttoned sweater for the colder days. So, this is an item I see that has a positive history. Others should be interested in this item if they want to be warm, look good, and have a piece of 2nd layer clothing that will last.

  2. I enjoyed your blog very much. I grew up in a culture where we buy to preserve, sometimes for years. Shoe soles, for instance, are replaced when they are worn out and we keep shoes for years. America's wasteful culture does not create things to last, so consumers keep buying cheap thinking that they are saving money. What consumers forget however, is that in the long run, you get what you pay for. Year after year, I look forward to the change of season, and to wear my comfy wall sweaters, scarves, and sturdy leather boots.
